Intro Verte Life

A family home for three, the architect’s own apartment provides a large and elongated living room, subtly divided by permeable separators to create a harmonious and calm common area for the family, allowing its members to spend time individually in the same space. These subtle dividers vary in color, material and form; some also function as display units or shelving, a design aspect commonly used in KM interiors. The curvilinear plaster ceiling adds distinct character, punctuates the harmony and continuity of the space while aptly concealing the beam across the ceiling. The front of the apartment is a 30 meters long fully glass façade that opens on to a 30 meters long terrace which looks out to an old green garden with typical Istanbul trees and plants through which one can get occasional glimpses of the Bosphorus.
